How Strong Should Your Pokemon Be Before Playing The Indigo Disk?

The first battle that you’ll encounter in the Indigo Disk is against Lacey, who seems to be your new rival and mentor during your time at Blueberry Academy. She’ll almost immediately be thrust into a Pokemon battle against you, bringing the following Pokemon to the table:

  • Level 70 Minun.
  • Level 70 Plusle.
  • Level 72 Excadrill.

So, at this point, you should at least have several Level 70 Pokemon available in your party to use against her, especially if you’re hoping to emerge victorious in battle. As the DLC progresses, opponents are likely going to become stronger and stronger, even being a challenge to those with Level 100 monsters.

How to Level Up Fast in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

If you need to level up before jumping into this DLC, we strongly suggest partaking in some of the Tera Raids that are spread out throughout the lands of Paldea, as they are a quick way to get plenty of leveling items to give to your favorite creatures.

Tera Raids give you Rare Candy and EXP Candy as rewards sometimes, making the leveling process even faster. You’ll want to do plenty of research on the enemy types in a raid beforehand, so you can match your team comp up accordingly. Sometimes during certain holidays, you’ll see special event Tera Raids with Blissey as the target. These will give you loads of Rare Candy, EXP Candies, and Tera Shards.

Plus, there are so many Pokemon to capture and collect now. Doing Tera Raids could introduce you to a new Pokemon that you may not have had in your Pokedex beforehand.

No matter if you’ve been playing Pokemon since Red and Blue, or this is your first time jumping into the world of Pokemon, be sure to check out our Scarlet & Violet section below for plenty of helpful tips and tricks. We’ll ensure that you’ll make it out of the Indigo Disk DLC as the master of Blueberry Academy.
