Pokemon GO Ultra Space Wonders: Ultra Beast Debuts, Raids, and More

Pokemon GO Ultra Space Wonders Event

Ultra Space Wonders Date and Time

The Ultra Space Wonders event will take place in Pokemon GO from Thursday, May 23 at 10:00 AM until Tuesday, May 28 at 8:00 PM (local time).

Ultra Beast Debut Pokemon

The following Ultra Beasts will make their Pokemon GO debut during the Ultra Space Wonders event:

Naganadel

Starting in Ultra Space Wonders, Poipole can evolve into Naganadel. To evolve Poipole and obtain Naganadel, you need the following:

• 200 Poipole Candy.
• Catch 20 Dragon-type Pokemon while Poipole is your Buddy.

Stakataka and Blacephalon

Stakataka and Blacephalon were version-exclusive counterparts in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Similarly, they will be making their Pokemon GO debuts as hemisphere-exclusive Ultra Beast Raid Pokemon. Stakataka will appear in five-star Ultra Beast Raids in the Eastern Hemisphere, while Blacephalon will appear in the Western Hemisphere.

Event Raids

The following tables list the Pokemon that will appear in raids throughout the Ultra Space Wonders event, as well as if it can be shiny.

Stakataka and Blacephalon raids will only appear in their respective hemispheres, but you can use a Remote Raid Pass to participate in a raid that a friend in another hemisphere invites you to.

Mega Raids

Event Bonus

The only bonus that will be in effect during Ultra Space Wonders is that you will receive double (2x) the XP for winning Ultra Beast Raid Battles.

Shiny Pokemon Debut

Shiny Mareanie will make its Pokemon GO debut during Ultra Space Wonders. During the event, Mareanie can be found:

• In the wild,
• As a reward for completing certain Field Research tasks,
• As a reward for completing certain tasks in the paid Timed Research,
• And as a reward for completing the event-themed Collection Challenge.

Wild Pokemon Encounters

The following table lists the Pokemon that will appear more frequently in the wild during the Ultra Space Wonders event:

Field Research Task Encounters

You may find event-themed Field Research tasks when you spin PokeStop Photo Discs during Ultra Space Wonders. Complete these tasks for the chance to encounter the following Pokemon:

Note that shiny Jangmo-o won’t make its Pokemon GO debut until Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Global.

World of Wonders Special Research Conclusion

Part 5 out of 5 of the World of Wonders Special Research will be made available during Ultra Space Wonders. The rewards for completing the World of Wonders (5/5) Special Research will include:

• XP,
• Rare Candy,
• Mysterious Components,
• Encounters with event-themed Pokemon,
• and Poipole Candy.

All Trainers can activate this Special Research at any time until Saturday, June 1 at 9:59 AM (local time). Once it is activated, it won’t expire, so you can complete all five parts at your own pace.

Ultra Space Wonders Collection Challenges

There will be event-themed Collection Challenges active during Ultra Space Wonders. The rewards for completing the Collection Challenges will include:

• XP,
• And encounters with Mareanie.

Paid Timed Research

There will be paid Timed Research available during the event for US$5 or your local currency’s equivalent. Some of the rewards for completing the research’s tasks will include:

• Four (4) Premium Battle Passes,
• One (1) Lucky Egg,
• Encounters with Mareanie,
• And a Naganadel Wings avatar item.

This Timed Research will expire on Tuesday, May 28 at 8:00 PM (local time), so if you want to try your hand at the tasks, you’ll have to make sure to claim the rewards before then.

Naganadel-Themed Avatar Items

Two new avatar items will be permanently added to the in-game shop at the start of the Ultra Space Wonders event. They are:

• Naganadel Jacket
• And Naganadel Pants.

Pokemon GO Web Store Bundle

An Ultra Raid Box will be available on the Pokemon GO Web Store during the event. For US$19.99, the Ultra Raid Box contains:

• 25 Premium Battle Passes,
• Three (3) Remote Raid Passes,
• And 10 Rare Candies.

PokeStop Showcases

Of course, it wouldn’t be a real event without some PokeStop Showcases. Be on the lookout for PokeStops where you can show off your event-themed Pokemon.
