Bounsweet Community Day: Date and Time
Pokemon GO’s May 2024 Community Day will take place on Sunday, May 19 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), although some of the bonuses will last until 10:00 PM.
May 2024 Community Day Featured Pokemon
Like it says on the tin, the Pokemon GO May 2024 Community Day’s featured Pokemon is Bounsweet. It will appear very frequently in the wild and it will have a higher chance than usual of being shiny.
The following table lists Bounsweet’s evolutions and how to obtain them. Use Pinap Berries on the Bounsweet you encounter to ensure you have enough Candy to evolve the ones you keep.

May 2024 Community Day Featured Attack
The May 2024 Community Day featured attack is High Jump Kick. If you evolve Steenee between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM local time (during the event and up to five hours afterward) on May 19, the resulting Tsareena will know High Jump Kick, a Fighting type Charged Attack. High Jump Kick has the following properties:

May 2024 Community Day Event Bonuses
The following event bonuses will be in effect during Bounsweet Community Day:
- Double (2x) Candy for catching Pokemon.
- Hatch Distance for Eggs that are placed into Incubators will be reduced by 75%.
- Lure Modules will last for three (3) hours instead of the usual 30 minutes.
- Incense will last for three (3) hours instead of the usual one (1) hour. (Note: Daily Adventure Incense is excluded from this bonus.)
- Up to five (5) Bounsweet photobombs.
- Trainers level 31 and higher have double (2x) the chance to receive Candy XL when catching Pokemon.
The following bonuses will be active during Bounsweet Community Day and for five (5) hours after the event is over, for a total duration from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (local time):
- You can make one (1) extra Special Trade, increasing the daily maximum to two (2).
- Trades will cost half (50%) the Stardust.
May 2024 Community Day Field Research
Event-specific Field Research will be available from spinning Photo Discs at PokeStops. Catch lots of Bounsweet to earn rewards, including:
- Stardust,
- Great Balls,
- and encounters with Bounsweet.
May 2024 Community Day PokeStop Showcases
There will be PokeStop showcases for May 2024 Community Day. Show off your Bounsweet and hope Toucannon and Greedent don’t notice.
May 2024 Community Day Bonus Raids
Four-star raids featuring Steenee will appear from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM (local time) on May 19. These raids are local only (you cannot join them using Remote Raid Passes), but if you can defeat them, Bounsweet with an increased shiny appearance rate will spawn around the host Gym for 30 minutes.
May 2024 Community Day Special Research Story
There will be a Special Research Story available for Bounsweet Community Day. It can be purchased (or gifted to an in-game friend you’ve reached Great Friends level or higher with) for US$1, or the equivalent pricing in your local currency.
May 2024 Community Day Web Store Bundle
There is one other way to obtain a Special Research Story ticket: through the Community Day bundle available on the Pokemon GO Web Store for US$4.99. The bundle includes:
- 10 Ultra Balls,
- One (1) Elite Charged TM,
- One (1) Special Research Story ticket.
May 2024 Community Day In-Game Store Event Bundles
Bundles will also be available for purchase in the in-game store for Bounsweet Community Day. The bundles are as follows:

May 2024 Community Day Stickers
Last but definitely not least are adorable Bounsweet, Steenee, and Tsareena stickers that will be available for May 2024’s Community Day. You can purchase them in sets from the in-game store for PokeCoins, or you can obtain them randomly from spinning Photo Discs at PokeStops or from opening Gifts.
