Pokemon GO Team GO Rocket Takeover All Event Details

In this house, we take Team Rocket events in Pokemon GO very seriously, and it’s because there’s another opportunity to take down Giovanni. This time, there’s a new Shadow Legendary to receive and plenty of other worthwhile reasons to participate. It’s time to save the Pokemon world yet again by taking down Team Rocket and freeing the Shadow Pokemon from their grasp.

Event Date and Time

The Pokemon GO Team GO Rocket Takeover event will begin on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 10:00 AM to Tuesday, October 31, at 8:00 PM local time.

Giovanni’s Shadow Pokemon

This time, Giovanni will have his pesky hands on a Shadow Regigigas. There will be a new Special Research story that follows the latest situation with Giovanni. It will reward you with a Super Rocket Radar, which in turn will allow you to confront the Team Rocket Boss, and ultimately defeat him once again.

You will be able to obtain the above research until December 1, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time.

Shadow Legendary Pokemon Raid Debut

Shadow Lugia will make its debut in Shadow Raids in Pokemon GO during the event! It will be the first time that players can fight and catch Shadow Lugia in Shadow Raids. There will also be a possibility that you will find a shiny version of Shadow Lugia after completing the raid too!

Shadow Lugia will be available in raids for a very limited time. You will be able to find it from October 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM to Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time.

Shadow Pokemon

Whenever you defeat a Team Rocket Leader – Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo, or a Rocket Grunt, you will have the opportunity to attempt to catch a Shadow Pokemon after the battle has been won. The following Shadow Pokemon will be able to be potentially found during the event.
