Pokemon GO Persian Weakness

Trying to figure out how to get the best of a particularly crafty cat? Here's what we know about Pokemon GO Persian's weakness.

Pokemon GO has scaled back some of its functionality because of the way that things are in the world right now, but that hasn’t done anything to quell the anti-Team Rocket sentiment that continues to make its way around the globe with the same fervor as before. While taking down Giovanni’s lieutenants is well and good, you don’t want to be left unprepared when facing the boss himself. Here’s some advice on his Pokemon GO Persian and its weakness

Pokemon GO Persian Weakness

There have been a bunch of players on the warpath recently when it comes to taking out Team Rocket, and we’re not just talking in the mainline Pokemon games. Of course, this has extended to Pokemon GO with Giovanni and his lieutenants basically never knowing when to call it quits. We even put together a guide recently on Arlo’s most recent team composition, and if you need to refer to that then we’ve relinked it here for your convenience. The point is: Team Rocket just keep coming back, so you’re going to want to have updated strategies on how to beat them, including individual Pokemon on their teams.

Those who are new to Giovanni kicking their butts might not know this, but he always leads with a Persian. This is one of the Team Rocket head honcho’s most iconic Pokemon from the series, so it’s not a surprise. Obviously, you’re going to want to know the Pokemon GO Persian’s weakness to make quick work of what is a relatively minor player in comparison to the rest of his squad – I mean, he uses Entei. Yeah. Entei.

The Pokemon GO Persian’s weaknesses are pretty straightforward because the Pokemon is, well, a Normal Type. It’s not out here doing anything particularly fancy, so we would just recommend pulling out some of your strongest Fighting Types to deal with it. We would recommend the following Pokemon with the following move sets:

  • Tyranitar – Smack Down and Crunch
  • Lucario – Counter and Power-Up Punch
  • Machamp – Counter and Dynamic Punch

Persian might be a Normal Type but don’t look down on the amount of damage that it can do. We do like a competent Lucario, but something like Tyranitar might be better at withstanding the pain that Persian is capable at dishing out when its got its claws in full attack mode. Now, all that remains is for you to wipe the floor with it using one of our picks above (or any good Fighting Type pick, honestly), and you can consider Stage 1 of the plan to defeat Giovanni in play.

If you’re someone who’s been having some trouble trying to figure out Pokemon GO Persian’s weakness, well, hopefully we’ve been able to help! We honestly think that going on a bit of a tear with defeating Team Rocket is a great way to avoid feeling bummed about being cooped up right now, so why not go totally HAM?
