Pokemon Day 2020 – Armored Mewtwo and Party Hat Pokemon Return

First of all, let’s figure out when Pokemon Day 2020 actually is. Don’t get this confused with the Pokemon GO Friendship Weekend that we’re also stoked for. The official date for the franchise is February 27, which is when Pokemon Red and Green first came out. However, the event itself will be running in Pokemon GO from February 25 to March 2. During this time, Trainers will be able to benefit from two special trades per day, which should help anyone out when it comes to padding their teams.

One thing that we’re going to see during the Pokemon Day festivities is Armored Mewtwo. Anyone who’s spent time watching the Pokemon movie will definitely remember this bad boy, and he’s also going to come with Psystrike. We’re pretty excited to see how hard Armored Mewtwo can hit, and if we’re right about the timing, this could well be our chance to get our hands on a powerful teammate in advance of cracking into the new Pokemon GO Battle League proper.

Pokemon Day 2020 is also going to bring about the return of some Clone Pokemon, which we’ve already briefly mentioned here in this article. They’re going to look different and be available through four-star raids, but they’re not the only ones with a fresh new look. That’s right, we’re talking starter Pokemon with hats: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu and Eevee. How’s that for feeling festive?

Now that you’ve got more information about Pokemon Day 2020 in Pokemon GO along with the veritable celebrity of Armored Mewtwo making an appearance, hopefully you’re as stoked as we are about everything.
