With things kicking into gear in February in Pokemon GO, we’re also talking about the current Team Rocket leaders changing up their squads a little bit as we head into the back end of the Lunar New Year. Sierra has swapped things up a little in her rotation, now leading with a particularly shiny and sharp boy while the ever-powerful Lapras remains a possible second-round contender. Here is some of our advice on Pokemon GO Lapras’ weakness, counters and more.
Pokemon GO Lapras’ Weakness and More
With Sierra’s team rotation in particular, she’s now going to whip out a Beldum first to take you head-on. With Beldum being a Steel and Psychic-type, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re taking either a Ground, Ghost, Fire or Dark-type Pokemon into the fray. However, once you’ve made quick work of that particular critter, Lapras is one of the potential second-round picks (Sharpedo and Exeggutor are the other options), and we’re gonna list off a little more about its weaknesses.
Lapras is a Water and Ice Type, which means that it’s particularly weak to Fighting, Rock, Grass, and Electric Pokemon. Unfortunately, it doesn’t share a Type weakness with Beldum so you’re going to want to make sure that you have a Pokemon ready to go once you’ve taken that shiny collection of metal down. We would recommend the following counters to Lapras and have listed off some moves that would do well against it too:
- Raikou – Thunder Shock, Wild Charge
- Electivire – Thunder Shock, Wild Charge
- Roserade – Razor Leaf, Grass Knot
- Rampardos – Smack Down, Rock Slide
- Breloom – Counter, Dynamic Punch
- Hariyama – Counter, Dynamic Punch
So long as you’re keeping the Type weaknesses of Lapras in mind and leading with Pokemon who have hard-hitting moves, you should be able to take down Sierra’s second-round pick without any difficulty. Now that we’ve helped you out a bit with Pokemon GO Lapras’ weakness, we reckon you’re all set to thrash Team Rocket again this month. Need help with anything else with Pokemon GO?
