Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare- How to Revive People

Don't let teammates die! Give them a much-needed revive that'll put them back in the fight.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

While playing the excellent Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of a tightly contested game of Team Vanquish. With peas, bullets and bombs exploding all over the place, your first thought may involve taking cover or throwing your character into battle. That’s great, but you should always aim to revive teammates.

Unless a character gets swallowed by a Chomper on the plant side, you can revive teammates lying on the ground by walking up to their corpses and pressing and holding the B button. Why should you bother doing this?

  • It puts them back in the fight. The more teammates you have alive, the better.
  • It erases a kill from the opposing team’s score. That’s important in a first to 50 multiplayer mode.
  • You’ll complete Challenges, thereby increasing your Class Level and unlocking special abilities.
  • It’s the feel good thing to do!

When is it OK to let fellow teammates die or lay on the battlefield?

  • When too many enemies are present. You can’t move or shoot while reviving, which leaves you open to attack.
  • With Sunflowers or Scientist Zombies (depending on your team) nearby. They revive the fastest.

If you’re the one who dies, it’s important that you DO NOT respawn right away. Instead, pan the camera with the left analog stick to see if any teammates are nearby. If so, give them a chance to revive you. Remember, you want to prevent the other side from accumulating points. Reviving is a great way to do this.
