Farming Simulator 25, the latest entry in the excellent farming series from Giants Software is now available on PC, and consoles. For the most part, the tech is quite similar to the last major entry, which means it has inherited some of the same issues, and features. While plenty of settings are available in-game, a few basic things need to be adjusted externally. Here is how you can change the language in Farming Simulator 25, skip the intro videos, and address some audio issues.
Changing the Farming Simulator 25 Language
If Farming Simulator 25 has launched in a language different from the default one of your operating system, or if you simply want to switch to something different, you’ll need to do it through the Steam client.
- Make sure the game isn’t currently running
- Open Steam, and navigate to your library
- Here, right-click on Farming Simulator 25, and select Properties
- In the General tab, select the desired language from the drop-down
After that, simply launch the game, and the in-game interface should change to the selected language.
Skip Intro Videos of Farming Simulator 25
If you want to save a few seconds and skip through the intro videos of Farming Simulator 25, it’s a fairly painless process. You don’t have to rename or delete any video files in the directory, instead, a launch command does the job.
- Make sure the game isn’t currently running
- Open Steam, and navigate to your library
- Here, right-click on Farming Simulator 25, and select Properties
- In the General tab, and under LAUNCH OPTIONS type the following command
-skipStartVideos
After this, you’ll reach the main menu much faster, and save a few seconds. If for whatever reason you want those intro videos to show up again, simply remove the command from above.
Farming Simulator 25 Audio Issues
If you aren’t getting any audio in Farming Simulator 25, then the trick might be the sound configuration mode your sound device in Windows is currently set to. For some reason, anything other than Stereo doesn’t work properly with Farming Simulator 25.
- Open Sound settings in Windows, and select Configure/More sound settings
- In the Playback tab, select the current output device, and right-click on it, followed by Configure speakers
- Here, select Stereo under Audio Channels
- After you’re done, restart the PC, and launch Farming Simulator 25!
This should address the audio issue for most users. Additionally, make sure that the correct device for output is selected in-game, as that could default to something different, like a DualShock controller.
Overall, Farming Simulator 25 is off to a massive start on Steam with over 126K concurrent players in-game. It currently has a mixed rating, but that’s largely due to some technical issues that players are running into at launch.
