Who will you choose?

Overwatch 2’s third season of content is about to launch. Alongside a big blog post talking about everything coming to the game in season 2, another new game mode is releasing. Loverwatch is a non-canon text-based dating sim. When does Loverwatch release? We have the answer for you below.

Overwatch 2: When does the Loverwatch Dating Sim Release?

Loverwatch in Overwatch 2 releases on February 13 and runs until February 28, 2023. This information comes directly from the Overwatch 2 website.

“Loverwatch is a non-canon text-based dating sim where players will choose between two potential dating paths: Mercy or Genji. Players will be presented with dialogue options to interact with that hero and will be assisted by Cupid (who looks suspiciously like Hanzo). Unlock the secret ending, and you’ll be rewarded with a themed POTG Highlight!”

While non-canon, we do enjoy that Hanzo is helping his brother Genji get some action this holiday season. Your options are limited to Mercy or Genji for romance, but hopefully, this will include more of the heroes of Overwatch in the future. Who doesn’t want to give Reinhardt a big smooch?

You’ll be able to play the Loverwatch dating sim at Loverwatch.gg, and it’s available as a web client only. So you won’t be able to play this through your Overwatch application. A full playthrough is roughly 30 minutes, and getting the secret ending will unlock a unique Play of the Game Highlight for you.

Plenty of events are planned for season 3 of Overwatch, so keep your eyes peeled.

Well, that’s everything you need to know about the release date for the Loverwatch dating sim in Overwatch 2. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out Prima Games. Check out all of the cosmetic skins for Overwatch’s newest tank Ramattra.
