It’s almost Halloween and that means it’s time for another scary event in Overwatch; though it’s Overwatch 2 now. While you may recognize Junkenstein’s Revenge if you’ve played before, OW2 continues the lore of Dr. Junkenstein with the Wrath of the Bride, a new, limited-time Halloween Terror PvE co-op mode.
Now, it wouldn’t be OW2 without some Challenges, and Blizzard has added some exclusive ones to help you level up your Battle Pass. They’re tricky to figure out, though – and that’s why we’re here. Here’s everything you need to know to complete the Lantern Lit Challenge in the Overwatch 2 Wrath of the Bride Halloween Terror event.
“Crouch at the Lantern for 6 Seconds While the Ghost is Active in Wrath of the Bride” Overwatch 2 Challenge
Let me guess – you’ve already run through the Wrath of the Bride game mode and could not figure out how to complete this one for the life of you. Yeah, us too. We ran through it four times before we finally figured out how to complete the “Crouch at the lantern for 6 seconds while the Ghost is active in Wrath of the Bride” Challenge for you guys. You’re welcome.
To start with, it needs to be said that you’re looking for an unlit lantern that looks like it’s been ripped straight out of Bloodborne. Don’t do what we did and crouch under every single light source we found hoping it was the right one. And as the Challenge says, it’s after the Sigma appears when you first enter the castle.

Once your crew has beaten the Summoner and Gargoyle, and Ashe has blown up the castle doors, go inside and head forward up the stairs where Sigma will pop out. Run past him and then look to your left where you’ll spot the unlit lantern. You’ll probably recognize this area as it’s where the fire is in the normal Eichenwalde map. Simply crouch underneath it for six seconds and the Challenge should be completed. You’ll know you’ve done it correctly if the lantern lights up. Note that Sigma may kill you here so be careful.
