Outer Worlds: How to Start the Peril on Gorgon DLC

To get to Gorgon, you need to do some things first!
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The first DLC expansion for Obsidian Entertainment’s sci-fi RPG hit The Outer Worlds is out, giving players access to even more story content. The Outer Worlds is already packed with Fallout-like gameplay, and Peril on Gorgon adds a new questline in the form of an outer space mystery. The thing about this add-on, though, is it doesn’t exactly announce its presence super loudly, especially if you’re still playing through the base storyline. So here’s how to get the DLC content started, in case you’re having trouble finding it.

How to Start Peril on Gorgon in The Outer Wilds

Once you have the Peril on Gorgon DLC purchased and installed, The Outer Wilds needs you to have finished a specific quest, Radio Free Monarch. This is a quest that’s part of the main story, so you literally can’t miss it. One you’ve finished Radio Free Monarch, there are two ways to get the DLC path started. You should be able to get things started by talking to Ada on the Unreliable. That might not work though, so your alternative way is to simply travel somewhere using the map.

Either way you should be informed of a package in need of delivery. Once you’re told about that you’ll be able to find the package on the Unreliable, to the left of the ship’s entrance.

Opening the package starts the questline, and after the scenario is introduced you can use the map to travel to Gorgon. There’s only one location on the Gorgon map, Ambrose Manor. That’s the setting for the Peril on Gorgon DLC, so go there and you’ll be able to get the new storyline started.

Have you played The Outer Worlds all the way through before the new Peril on Gorgon DLC launched? Or did you pick it up later, and are still working through the main story? Let us know if you’re enjoying the base game or the new DLC over at the Prima Games Facebook and Twitter channels!
