Ni No Kuni II Socktopus Locations

If you’re looking for socktopuses in Ni No Kuni II, you’ve come to the right place!

If you’re venturing around Hydropolis, chances are you’ve started the Best Seafood in Seatown quest in Ni No Kuni 2. To complete this quest you’ll need to find three socktopuses. Unfortunately, there aren’t many places to find a socktopus in Ni No Kuni 2, but we’ve done all that hard work for you. This article covers where to find socktopuses in Ni No Kuni 2 so you can complete the Best Seafood in Seatown quest.

Where to Find Socktopuses

Like most other sea-related items, you can find socktopuses randomly by sailing the oceans of Ni No Kuni 2. Unfortunately, that’s not a very reliable way to find socktopuses. A much easier and slightly less random method is to build a Fresher Fish Market (requires a level 2 kingdom) and place a citizen in the facility. Give them some time to collect a few items, and eventually you’ll find socktopuses in your kingdom store.

Socktopuses are one of many items that can be collected from the Fresher Fish Market and the Freshest Fish Market, so if you want a higher chance of getting the item in the kingdom store, place citizens at both facilities. However you go about doing this, it will probably take a few gathering cycles before you get the three socktopuses needed to complete the quest. It took us about 30 minutes in total to get the items needed, with citizens at both facilities.

Head back to Hydropolis and deliver the three socktopuses to Marina to complete the quest and collect A Seafood Odyssey, 1,890 experience points and 730 guilders for your trouble. While you don’t get Marina as a citizen for your efforts, you can find ways to get more citizens in our Ni No Kuni 2 game hub!
