Minecraft Nether Update – How to Use the Soul Speed Enchantment

If you’ve been playing Minecraft for a while, you might be familiar with the terms the Nether and the Overworld. The Overworld is the main area you play in, while the Nether is another dimension that allows players to quickly travel to another area in the Overworld via Nether Portals, among other things. Previously, players were able to use the Nether to travel to an Overworld location eight times faster than normal. However, with the Soul Speed Enchantment, players can unlock even faster Overworld travel.

Essentially, with the Minecraft Nether update, players can now use the Soul Speed Enchantment to travel more than ten times faster through the Nether. Unfortunately, the enchantment is a bit tough to find, as it can only be found by raiding Bastion Remnants or trading with Piglins. Further, once you have the enchantment, you’ll need to put down some Soul Sand or Soul Soil in your Nether tunnel between your Portals. Once you have the enchantment and the sand/soil, you’ll be able to travel 10x faster than you would in the Overworld.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Sand Soil and the Soul Soil can be a bit tough to find, compared to normal sand or stones anyways. However, if you’re doing a lot of traveling then it’s likely going to be worth it to spend the time to hunt down the soil. It’s also worth mentioning that traveling on it will deal damage to your boots, so you’ll want to keep that in mind as well. However, once you’ve got everything set up, it should be nice to be able to have faster Overworld travel thanks to the Minecraft Nether update.

If you don’t feel like working on your tunnels right now, there are still plenty of things to do in Minecraft. This game is known for giving power to its players, so there is plenty of stuff to craft, places to explore, and areas to mine. Further, since the game is always changing, there will likely be even more awesome updates like this in the future.
