Let’s take a look at what we know so far.

Is Minecraft Dungeons Mobile Coming to iOS and Android Devices?

If you’re hoping to play Minecraft Dungeons mobile on your iPhone or Android, then I’ve got some bad news for you…there are no plans to bring the game to mobile devices. Further, at the time of writing, Microsoft has not announced any plans to develop a mobile version of the game.

However, not all hope is lost, as the Minecraft Pocket Edition is a thriving mobile game for iOS and Android devices. So it stands to reason that it is possible for a Minecraft Dungeons mobile game to be developed sometime in the future, but for right now it’s not in the plans, at least not publicly.

Minecraft Dungeons iOS Android

It’s unclear why developers chose not to work out a mobile release for Dungeons, but it could have to do with the fact that the game is a lot different than the original Minecraft. This time around, you won’t be focused on building or crafting, in fact you won’t be doing that at all. Instead, you’ll spend hours exploring randomly generated dungeons while you make your way through the main story with your pet chicken.

While you’re waiting to hear more about a mobile release, you can play Minecraft Dungeons on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Nintendo Switch with up to four friends. The game is free for those who have an active membership to Xbox Game Pass on both Xbox and PC. If you don’t, the standard edition itself will cost $20 USD, while the Hero edition will cost $30.

The Hero Edition will come with two skins, the pet chicken, and two upcoming DLC packs. It’s unclear when the DLC will be released, but some Reddit leaks online seem to point to “Jungle Awakens” and a “Creeping Winter” DLCs. So it’s possible something could come along this winter, or maybe even before. However, it is worth noting that at the time of writing, none of the DLC leaks have been confirmed by Microsoft, so it’s best to take the leaks with a grain of salt.
