Litwick Evolution in Pokemon Sword and Shield

So you’ve got a Litwick in your party that you’re wanting to give a little boost to. We get it! The final evolution of a Litwick is Chandelure, which we reckon is pretty formidable for its Type, so wanting to get at least halfway there is totally understandable. You’ll be wanting to evolve your Litwick into a Lampent, which is a Ghost/Fire hybrid that then gets set up for turning into Chandelure.

While Chandelure evolves with the assistance of a Dusk Stone, and we have a guide on where to find one of those evolutionary stones linked right here for you, getting your Litwick amped up is a little easier and requires less legwork. If you’re someone wanting to turn this adorable little candle into a Lampent, then you only really have to fulfill one requirement:

  1. Your Litwick has to be Level 41

Yes, it’s that simple. Your Litwick only has to hit the Level 41 threshold for it to evolve into a Lampent. While you’ll have to fiddle with a Dusk Stone after that, as mentioned, the process of Litwick evolution in Pokemon Sword and Shield is actually pretty straightforward.

If you don’t already have a Litwick to evolve, however, then you can pick one up either at the Mmotostoke Riverbank or Bridge Field during Intense Sun weather conditions or Heavy Fog if you’re checking out the latter. You can also catch a Litwick during the third gym challenge that you encounter, so keep your eyes peeled if you want to nab one that way.

Now that you’ve got our guide to Litwick evolution in Pokemon Sword and Shield, undertaking it all on your own should be a piece of cake. Need help with something else while you tramp around the Galar region? Check out these other tips and tricks that we’ve put together for you:
