Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Glowing Blue Spirit Rabbit, Blupee
If you’ve been traversing the forests of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you’ve probably noticed a glowing blue rabbit that pops up every now and then, but dashes away if you get close. For those who have been wondering just what that glowing blue rabbit is for, we’ve got the answers right here. This article covers the glowing blue spirit rabbit in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, what you can get from it if you manage to land a hit and the Legendary Rabbit Trail side quest.
The glowing blue spirit that has taken on the form of a rabbit is officially known as Blupee. It will generally appear in any wooded area around Hyrule. Anywhere there are a few trees there’s a chance you will see the rabbit. Two of the easiest places to find Blupee are the woods east of Dueling Peaks Stable and the small patch of trees northeast of Kakariko Village, between the Ta’loh Naeg shrine and the Great Fairy Fountain. There are other places you can find Blupee, but search these two locations and you’re virtually guaranteed to spot him frequently.
Keep a close eye out because if the grass is tall it can be very difficult to see the rabbit before you scare it off. If you can spot it while you’re still far enough away, immediately press the Left Analog Stick inward to make Link crouch. This allows you to sneak up on the rabbit without scaring it away. You don’t need to actually catch the glowing blue rabbit to benefit from the encounter.
All you need to do is get close enough to hit it with your bow. A single shot with an arrow will still cause the rabbit to flee, but it will leave behind several rupees for you to pick up. The amount of rupees the rabbit drops is random, but generally you’ll come away with at least 100 or more rupees.
