In the opening hours of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry finds himself stripped of his armor and gear, left with little more than his wits and tattered clothes. With no fancy equipment and barely a Groschen to his name, survival feels daunting—especially in the game’s gritty, unforgiving world.
While buying gear might seem like the obvious solution, money is scarce early on. That’s where Brunswick’s armor set pieces in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 come in.
This powerful early-game armor isn’t just a stylish upgrade—it’s a practical lifeline in the game. Unlike pricey shop gear, Brunswick’s pieces are scattered across the map and free to claim if you know where to look. For this, you do not need to empty your coin purse or grind for Groschen! Below, we will break down exactly how to track down this armor set, giving Henry the protection he desperately needs to survive the game’s brutal challenges ahead.

How to Get Quest for the Brunswick’s Armor in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

If you’re looking to snag Brunswick’s armor in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you will need to kick off the quest called “The Lion’s Crest.” Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started and track down all the armor pieces with ease.
To begin, head to the town of Troskowitz and look for Scribe Gaibl. You will spot his location on the map marked by a white feather icon. When you speak to him and ask about where to find armor, he will give you the Lion’s Crest quest.

As part of the quest, he will also hand you a sketch of Brunswick’s poleaxe, which is the first item you will need.
All Brunswick’s Armor Pieces and How to Find Them in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The Lion’s Crest quest involves solving a riddle to locate all the pieces of Brunswick’s armor. While the game doesn’t mark their locations on the map, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. Below, we’ve listed everything you need to know to find each piece.
NOTE: Before you start searching for the armor, make sure you have a spade. You’ll need it to dig up some of the items. Here’s how to get one:
- If you’re in Tachov, check inside a cabin near the tavern wall—you’ll find a spade there.
- The easiest way is to grab a free spade just outside the cemetery in Troskowitz.
Brunswick’s Dagger and Gauntlet

Head to the northernmost part of the map from the Troskovitz, where you will find a rocky area. This spot is home to Brunswick’s Dagger and Gauntlets, but it can be tricky to locate. Look for a cross placed at the top of a rock nestled in a small gap between two massive mountain-like structures. From a distance, it is easy to miss, but up close, it is much easier to spot.
Once you have found the cross, the location will be marked on your map as “Chapel in the Rocks.” Approach the cross and interact with it using the “Push Aside” button prompt. After a short cutscene, you will see a “Start Digging” prompt—this is where the spade (which we mentioned earlier as a must-have item) comes into play.

After another cutscene showing Henry digging, you will uncover a small treasure chest containing the following loot:
- 1x Brunswick’s Dagger
- 1x Brunswick’s Gauntlets
- 3x Fine Wine
- Fragments from the Bible (Skill Book)
- 17x Groschen
- 2x Candles
NOTE: Completing this part of The Lion’s Crest quest will update your objectives, directing you to search for more armor pieces near two trees and crosses on a rock.
Brunswick’s Chainmail Coif, Caparison, and Plate Leg Armor

Your next stop is north of Tachov town. Follow the road leading north until you reach a wolf hunting spot. Be warned: this area is crawling with wolves that can quickly overwhelm Henry in melee combat.
Here’s a strategy to handle the wolves:
- Ride your horse to lure the wolves away from the site.
- Once the wolves are distracted, circle back to the location.

When you arrive, you will notice several pairs of trees close together. Focus on the two trees near a rocky platform with a wolf cave beneath it. Between these trees, you will find a sack containing the following items:
- 1x Brunswick’s Chainmail Coif
- 1x Brunswick’s Plate Leg Armor
- 1x Brunswick’s Caparison
- 1x Beet
- 1x Leek
- 1x Turni
Brunswick’s Plate Sleeves

Start by heading west of Tachov to Vidlak Pond, a quiet little town with not much going on. From here, travel northeast until you find a cross near the pond.
Here’s how to locate the treasure:
- From the fish displayed near the pond, head straight up the hill.
- Take the path that veers left and upward, and follow it until you reach a fallen tree.
- Use the fallen tree as a bridge to cross over and find another cross with a treasure chest nearby.

Open the chest to claim the following loot:
- 1x Brunswick’s Plate Sleeves
- 1x Saviour Schnapps
- 3x Bandages
Note: After completing this step, your quest objective will update, directing you to find the next piece of Brunswick’s armor at a stone cairn.
Brunswick’s Brigandine

The next piece, the Brigandine, is located north of Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn. If you happen to wander near the area, the point of interest (POI) will be marked by a cross and a skeleton.
Here’s what to do:
- Look for a cross at the edge of a mountain. While there’s nothing significant near the cross itself, you’ll find a skeleton just a few steps away under a tree.
- Search near the skeleton to find a sack containing the following items:
- 1x Brunswick’s Brigandine
- 30x Apples
- 1x Fine Wine
Pro Tip: Before leaving, don’t forget to grab the sword lying next to the skeleton—it is a handy bonus!
Brunswick’s Bascinet
For the final piece of Brunswick’s armor, the Bascinet, head east from the Nomad’s Camp. Near the hilly areas, you’ll come across a treasure hunter’s camp POI.
Here’s how to find the Bascinet:
- Look for a cross made of stones (cairn) near the camp.
- Explore the cairn to uncover the following items:
- 1x Brunswick’s Bascinet
- 1x Shrinking Die
- 1x Worn Rosary
Crafting Poleaxe at Blacksmith

Once you have collected all the pieces of Brunswick’s armor, there’s one final item you will need to complete the set: Brunswick’s Poleaxe.
To craft the poleaxe, you’ll need the following materials:
- 1x Fastening Material
- 3x Iron
- 1x Frankfurt Steel
Where to Find the Materials
Here’s where you can get each of the required items:
Fastening Material and Iron
- These can be purchased from Blacksmith Radovan, an NPC located at Trosky Castle.
Frankfurt Steel
Frankfurt Steel is a bit trickier to obtain, but you have a few options:
- Treasure Map Reward: Solve the first treasure map to find Frankfurt Steel in the Cave in Apollonia.
- Purchase from Blacksmiths:
- Blacksmith Radovan at Trosky Castle.
- Blacksmith Osina at Trosky Castle.
- Blacksmith Zdimir in Grund.
- Armourer 1 in Kuttenberg
