Is the Fall Guys Event Permanent in FFXIV? – Answered

We faaaaall (in the Saucer).

FFXIV Fall Guys Event Permanent Featured

Even knowing how wild some of the previous collaborations were, getting to see Fall Guys meet Final Fantasy XIV is not something I was expecting. This unlikely-yet-amusing collab will be hitting the critically acclaimed MMO soon, but will it be sticking around, or will it soon be gone?

Is the FFXIV – Fall Guys Collab Permanent?

The Fall Guys collab is not permanent but seasonal. This means that while it will be gone a few weeks after its debut, it’ll eventually come back in the future just like other events usually do in the game. Other “seasonal type” collab events would include Dragon Quest or the Final Fantasy XV event, which have all returned at least once since their first appearance.

The confirmation comes from the official FFXIV x Fall Guys website, where it states that this event will last from Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 3:00 a.m. (PDT) to Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 6:59 a.m. (PST). As for the seasonal part, it was confirmed directly by game director Naoki Yoshida in the latest Live Letter for Patch 6.51 which happened at the FFXIV London Fan Fest.

A special-themed Gold Saucer attraction will be available during the event period, as well as many exclusive rewards for the event, such as the full Fall Guys bean costume or two variations of the winner’s crown. There are also new mounts and minions, all obtainable with the special MGF currency, only available in this fever dream collab.

This could definitely be a permanent collab thing, just like the NieR-themed Alliance Raids were, but while Alliances are a staple for every expansion, the same cannot be said for Gold Saucer attractions.

Hopefully, it won’t be long until we see our bean friends back in Eorzea after they’re gone at the end of this year, and they’ll probably return with even more rewards to share. The door will still be open for the next possible collabs such as the upcoming FFXVI one.
