Sam B. does sound slightly different in Dead Island 2, as he is voiced by Cavin Cornwall, while the original version of the character was portrayed by Phil Lamarr in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, with the rap performances provided by Josef Lord. According to the Dead Island Wiki Fandom Page, “Sam B, the Tank, is one of the four playable Heroes in Dead Island and one of five Heroes in Dead Island: Riptide. He is a one-hit-wonder rap star of fading fame.” The New Orleans native was a performer at the Royal Palms Resort in Banoi Island, the setting of the first game in the Dead Island series, and was one of the lucky few to be immune to the zombie outbreak.
