When is Rebirth Island Coming Back to Warzone?
As a long-time fan of the franchise, especially of the battle royale that took the world by storm, you likely want to know when Rebirth Island returns to Warzone, and it’s in late 2024 for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. That’s a long way off as of this writing, but there is some hope. Activision intends to relaunch Rebirth Island, the remake of Alcatraz Island, in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile sometime in early Spring 2024.
As one of the battle royale’s most popular maps, it’s no surprise to anyone that Activision intends to re-release Rebirth Island in Warzone 2.0. But during their livestream announcement, they also revealed that Fortune’s Keep is coming back alongside the small-scale arena. It’s a double win for Call of Duty fans!
What is Rebirth Island?
As previously stated, Rebirth Island is an in-game map modeled after the real-life Alcatraz Island. The latter is a former prison island in California, just offshore from San Francisco, and is open to the public as a “national park” for tourism.
But in Warzone 2.0, Rebirth Island is all about the chaotic, frantic, competitive nature of the battle royale genre but condensed into a close quarters battlezone. From the docks to the water tower looming over the main facility, there are countless vantage points for sharpshooters or nooks for ambushes.
Is Caldera Coming Back to Warzone?
In the original Call of Duty: Warzone, the only available map was Caldera, and believe it or not, it was a lot of fun. It’s the original! But with the release of Warzone 2.0, Caldera was left in the dust, with many curious about its seemingly inevitable return. Will it happen?
As of this writing, there is no indication or confirmation from Activision that Warzone Caldera will return to the game’s current iteration. Still, players remain hopeful.
