Can You Play Palia For Free?

Yes, Palia is a free-to-play MMO game. Regardless of whether you play the beta version on PC or wait for its official launch on Nintendo Switch, you won’t have to spend money or buy subscriptions to hop in-game and begin exploring. You’ll have to create an account, download Palia and log in!

During Palia’s initial beta period, you can access it once you receive an invitation to the closed beta or hop into the open beta on August 10, 2023. Fortunately, though, you won’t have to pay for access to either of these.

Palia also does not feature any paid gameplay enhancements to give you an advantage over others. Instead, it’ll have a premium cosmetic shop where you can exchange paid currency for different outfits. However, these will not give you any stat boosts and will only change your appearance. They’re also not part of any loot boxes or limited-time events, so you have as much time as you’d like to decide whether you want any paid cosmetics.
