Is Granblue Fantasy: Relink Steam Deck Playable?

Should you pick up Granblue if you're planning on playing on Steam Deck?

Being able to board the Grandcypher and explore a massive world with the crew in Granblue Fantasy: Relink is exhilarating, to say the least. Can you take this adventure on the go with your Steam Deck, or are you bound to your PC?

While there is no official Steam Deck verification badge, I can gladly say that Granblue Fantasy: Relink works excellently on the Steam Deck right out of the box. You can tweak graphical settings to make it look as good as you’d like or maximize the framerate to its ultimate potential, but it is completely playable from start to finish with at least a solid 30FPS cap.

The ability to take a grand adventure such as this on the go is always great, especially once you start getting into the true meat and potatoes of what the game has to offer. No matter if you’re hoping to unlock some great new party members, or you want to play some online multiplayer with friends, the variety of things to do here feels neverending.

If you have a Steam Deck LCD or OLED, the graphical fidelity you can push on this handheld is impressive, as the game looks phenomenal on both the big and little screens. The fact that it runs as well as it does even without an official Steam Deck verification badge could be the perfect way for you to decide which platform you’d like to pick this grand adventure on. I love the idea of being able to take a full-fledged RPG on a long trip, and with how well it runs and performs on the Deck, I may have found my new favorite nighttime game to jump into.
