ORIGINAL STORY: Hyper Scape is a new battle royale game developed by Ubisoft that was recently announced alongside a free to play gameplay test. With its surprise announcements, developers hosted a PC technical test that allowed interested players to hop into the game if they received a Twitch Drop code while watching eligible streams. With the test about to end on PC, some are wondering about the Hyper Scape Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release date. Here’s what we know so far.

Hyper Scape PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Release Date

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, we do know the Hyper Scape PS4 or Xbox One release date. However, we do know that the game will be coming to consoles at launch, whenever that is. It’s not uncommon for developers to release technical tests on PC ahead of multi-platform launches, and sometimes those beta’s do carry over to consoles at a later date, but sometimes they do not. So, for now we will have to wait to see when Ubisoft decides to announce the Hyper Scape Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release date, as well as any future test dates.

Xbox has announced a Summer Game Fest, which will allow players to try out 60+ game demos, so it’s possible that we could see Hyper Scape featured in the event later this July, but we cannot say for sure. As far as a PS4 test goes though, it’s hard to say if there will be one before the PlayStation 4 release date. Further, Ubisoft hasn’t really given any hints at when it will be releasing its battle royale game, but with the end of the current console generation coming up at the end of 2020 and the PC technical test dropping the same day as the game reveal, it seems the Hyper Scape Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release date could be set for later this year.

However, for now we will simply have to wait and see what Ubisoft decides to do with the game. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s similar to most other battle royale games in that it drops 100 players on a map, forcing them to survive. However, it differs in a couple of different ways from that of Fortnite and Apex Legends. For example, towards the end of the game, the Hyper Scape crown will appear on the map and any remaining team that holds onto it for 45 seconds can instantly win the game, even if other teams are left standing.
