How to View FFXIV Online Store Items In-Game (Dream Fitting)

Dream Fitting is an all-new feature added in Patch 6.1 that allows players to try on items in-game that are available for purchase on the Online Store in FFXIV. Previously anything bought on the Mog Station could not be viewed on your character prior to purchasing. Here is how to try on store items using Dream Fitting in FFXIV.

How to View FFXIV Online Store Items In-Game (Dream Fitting)

In order to use Dream Fitting, you’ll need to enter an Inn which can be found in any of the main cities. Limsa Lominsa, Ul’dah, and Gridiania all have inns accessible by talking to the Innkeeper. Just look for the icon on your map and you’ll find them. 

Once inside an Inn, all you need to do is interact with the bed. Upon doing so you’ll be asked if you want to partake in Dreamfitting. Here is where you and your Warrior of Light can kick back and try on all of the gear available at the Online Store

If you’ve found something you think looks really good on your character and want to give them a nice outfit, simply hit the “Visit the Online Store” on the bottom left of the screen. This will open an internet browser window separately and allow you to purchase the gear if you so choose. 

It’s a nice feature that can certainly save your buyer’s remorse down the line if something doesn’t look as good as you’d hoped. Dream Fitting is just one of the many features added in Patch 6.1. There are new mounts, an all-new Alliance Raid, and even a new main story!
