How to Use Fatal Strikes in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty

Finish them!

Fatal Strikes are one of the most integral damage abilities in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, and the attack is not explained too well as the game begins. You will need this strike for everything from basic grunts that have nothing but some claws, to bosses that are so large they move off the screen.

If you have ever played Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice, then you will be right at home with the Fatal Strike attack. However, this is not an ability you can slot, and to activate the strike, you will have to earn it. Our guide will cover how you can initiate the strike and what it means to earn one in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty – How to Use Fatal Strikes

Before you can initiate one of these attacks, the enemy’s Spirit Gauge must be broken. This is the orange meter that you can see around their health bar, as well as yours. Once it is broken, the bar will flash red, and the enemy will fall to the ground. A short window will appear to use the attack.

To initiate the Fatal Strike, walk up to the broken enemy and tap Triangle/Y on controller, or shift and left click on a keyboard and mouse. Make sure that the enemy has a broken meter, otherwise, you will just be throwing out a spirit attack rather than the strike we wanted in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty.

As you get through the game, these Fatal Strikes will become more and more important. Many of the tougher enemies and bosses will make landing basic hits far more difficult. Breaking their gauge and earning some massive damage with the strikes is usually the way to go.
