How to Get the Paladin Achievement in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course.
The first thing that needs to be done is to obtain the Broken Relic. You can get it at Porkrind’s Emporium. The lucky part of this endeavor is that the item costs just one coin. If you haven’t unlocked the Cuphead DLC content, we’ll help you with this guide.
The second part of this quest is to visit the three characters that are closest to the shop (northeast). They are actually a trio of climbing contestants, and you should speak to them in a specific order (first, you speak to the champion that’s on the tallest pedestal, then the one in second place, and lastly, the one in third). They will drop you a hint or two which will help you solve the puzzle – it’s randomized and different for everybody, so we can’t really guide you by hand here.
For example, a contestant might mention “downright”, “left”, “left in third”, “upright”, “right”, which easily indicates what tombstone you need to click, or something complex like “My pals cheered me on, but I let ’em down. left the race in third” which indicates that the bottom left tombstone is the one that’s to be clicked. When you figure out the order, you need to interact with the tombstones south from the shop in that order. If successful, the middle one will glow and you will get the offer to take a nap. A secret boss fight ensues. After you finish the battle, the Relic will be repaired after you speak to the NPC. The fight is not difficult, just keep hitting the devil in the head (you might want to pick a weapon that just straight up automatically aims at the head for your convenience).
What’s That? The Relic is Now CURSED? But What Does it Do?
The Cursed Relic has two aspects. The first one is that every time you fire it, you shoot as a different type of weapon from the game. You can keep it as long as you do not stop shooting. Hopefully, RNGesus awards you with your favorite/most optimal weapon during boss encounters. The second one is not so pleasant – it sets your HP to 1, meaning that there’s no room for error.
