How to Unlock Master Rank in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

If you’re looking to take on the brand new Master Rank quests in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, you’ll first need to unlock it. Luckily, it’s easy enough and if you’re playing Sunbreak, it will happen rather quickly.

You can only unlock Master Rank if you own the Sunbreak expansion, so for those of you who haven’t picked it up yet, you won’t be able to start it until you purchase it.

Once you have it, just speak to the NPC at the bridge in Kamura Village to begin the expansion. Complete the first hunt against Daimyo Hermitaur and progress the story.

You’ll eventually be brought to Elgado Village, the new hub area for the Sunbreak expansion. Speak with some of the locals and complete the next set of quests (which consist of learning about the new switch skill swap features).

Then you’ll be given the Master Rank quests and officially have unlocked it.

Leveling up your Master Rank works the same way as your Hunter Rank. Complete a given number of hunts and then complete the urgent hunt to move up in rank. This is your main progression through Sunbreak’s campaign.

Well, that’s everything you need to know about unlocking Master Rank in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. There’s plenty to learn about in Sunbreak, like Gold Wirebugs!
