Tides of the Foscari DLC for Vampire Survivors has tons of pop culture references, it seems. Maruto Cuts, one of the DLC’s new characters, is partially inspired by Naruto (from Boruto), and partially Guts (from Berzerk). How to Get Maruto Cuts in Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari DLC
Maruto Cuts can be unlocked very early in the Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari DLC. You just need to pilot Eleanor and form a union of her three weapons: SpellString, SpellStream, and SpellStrike. Here’s how you can do it. After you do this, you just need to purchase Maruto Cuts from the Play menu as usual. His starting weapon is Eskizzibur, which slices enemies that are very near you.

Eskizzibur Abilities in Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari DLC
Eskizzibur – Attacks nearby enemies. Retaliates.
- Level 2 – Fires 1 more projectile.
- Level 3 – Base Damage up by 5.
- Level 4 – Base Damage up by 5.
- Level 5 – Every fifth activation has a combo finisher.
- Level 6 – Base Damage up by 5. Base Area up by 10%.
- Level 7 – Base Damage up by 5.
- Level 8 – Base Damage up by 10.
The combo finisher mentioned at Level 5 is a circular AoE attack in front of the character. There’s also a cool animation when Maruto Cuts does it. It deals a great deal of damage and you will certainly be using this weapon a LOT in this DLC.
