How to Turn Into a Dragon in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC
There are two dragon forms you can unlock in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, and both of them require you to get a certain item. The first form is unlocked after finding the Priestess Heart, while the second requires the Rock Heart item. Here is how you can get both items in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree:
How to Get the Priestess Heart in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Find the Dragon Communion Priestess
Your first task is to find the Dragon Communion Priestess in the Jagged Peak region and talk to her. However, to enter the Jagged Peak region, you must go through the Dragon’s Pit mini-dungeon in Gravesite Plain and clear it. At the end of the dungeon, you will find a door leading you to the Jagged Peak region.
Once there, head to the Dragon’s Pit Terminus Site of Grace and head south. The road leading southward will take you to the Dragon Communion Priestess. She will be standing next to the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion.
Talk to the Dragon Communion Priestess
Talk to her, and she will give you the option to “Devour Draconic Essence.” Accept her offer, and she will ask you to defeat Bayle. Accepting her offer will also give you the Ancient Dragon’s Blessing consumable to increase all damage negation using FP.
Find Bayle and Defeat Him
Make your way back to the area you came from and take the path on your right from there. Follow the path until you come across a dragon in the lake area. Kill the dragon and talk to the NPC afterward. He will give you Igon’s Furled Finger, which you can use to summon him during your fight with Bayle.
Keep going forward, and you will come across a Spiritspring. Jump up and cross the bridge to get to the Foot of the Jagged Site of Grace. You will come across a large open area where two Dragons will be fighting each other. Go straight past them and jump up from the two Spiritsprings.
Enter the cave and go straight while dodging the boulders. Turn left and you will enter an arena where you will fight Ancient Dragon Senessax.
After the fight, go straight ahead and rest at the Jagged Peak Mountainside Site of Grace. Take the path on your left and keep following the path till you reach the third Spiritspring that will take you to the Jagged Peak Summit Site of Grace.
It is the home of Bayle the Dread, where the boss fight will take place. Enter the arena and get ready to face one of the hardest bosses in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
After you have defeated Bayle the Dread, go back to the Dragon Communion Priestess, and you will find some loot on the floor. Among the loot will be the Flowerstone Gavel weapon and the Priestess Heart item.
To turn into a dragon, take off all of your armor and use the Priestess Heart. You will take the form of a dragon, which can only be reverted when you die. Also, using the heart again will boost the Dragon Cult incantations, but at the cost of no armor on your body.
How to Get the Rock Heart in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Just like the Priestess Heart, you will find the Rock Heart in the Jagged Peak region. However, for this item, you don’t have to fight any boss or interact with any NPC in the game. It is a fairly easy item to find as compared to the Priestess Heart.
To find the Rock Heart, you need to solve the Domain of Dragons Painting, which you will find at the Shadow Keep. At the western wing of the Shadow Keep, go to the storehouse and towards the east. In the next area, you will find a ladder next to a body. Go down the ladder and look past the waterfall to find another ladder. Climb the ladder and get the painting from the storeroom.
Once you have the painting, enter the Jagged Peak Mountainside Site of Grace in the Jagged Peak region and make your way southwest on the map.
Use the Spiritspring to jump on the ledge. Continue going straight and then jump on the ledge below when the path starts going to the left. The storm will clear up when you get to this area. Turn right and jump to the bottom.
A chair will spawn when you get there. Wait a few seconds for a ghost to spawn, which will drop the Rock Heart and vanish into the thin air.
This item is similar to the Priestess Heart, with the only difference being that it turns your character into a dragonoid human with a boost in Dragon Communion incantations.
Both items are infinite-use items that you can use to turn yourself into a dragon and enhance your dragon build. One thing to keep in mind is that you will need to take your armor off when you use both items and you will only be able to turn to your normal form after dying.
