How to Unlock New Cosmetics in Killer Klowns From Outer Space

The most efficient way to unlock new cosmetics in Killer Klowns From Outer Space is by leveling up your character. You have a single character level that unlocks both Klown and Human cosmetic items as you level up.

To level quickly in Killer Klowns From Outer Space, you must participate in objectives, such as unlocking exits, freeing your fellow survivors from cotton candy cocoons, trapping Humans in cocoons, and destroying boomboxes as Klowns. These are just a few examples; there are plenty of other ways to earn experience in-game.

Alongside leveling up to unlock new cosmetics, you can acquire some of the more enticing clothing options, like this police officer’s hat, by completing challenges. These challenges range in complexity, from slaying a few Klowns to consuming energy drinks. The more challenges you complete, the more you unlock.

It’s a fantastic system to acquire new cosmetics. But if you want to whip out your wallet, you can always pre-order the game or purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition for additional skins and items.

How to Equip Cosmetics in Killer Klowns From Outer Space

To equip any of the unlocked cosmetics you’ve earned through gameplay or by purchasing the Digital Deluxe Edition of Killer Klowns From Outer Space, select ‘Customize’ from the main menu. Then, choose which faction you want to customize—Klowns or Humans. Choose your loadout, then navigate to the right-most tab, which allows you to customize your character.

From this menu, you can choose to alter your head, hair, eyes, outfits, and even choose a special character. Right now, there are only a handful of unique characters, such as Debbie and Mike Tobacco.

While you’re busy customizing your Klown, don’t forget to consider their selection of cotton candy weaponry!
