How To Unlock All Hallowed Concepts Skins in Risk of Rain 2

Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts introduces a new collection of unlockable skins for every Survivor. These skins are themed around the DLC’s darker, fungal aesthetic, with some completely transforming the appearance of their respective Survivors.

There are 18 new DLC-themed skins in total, including ones for the newcomers, Enforcer and Acolyte. Unlike the Alloyed Collective skins, these are divided into three groups with different unlock requirements. Here’s how to unlock every new skin in Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts.

How To Unlock the Hallowed Concepts Skins in Risk of Rain 2

To unlock the Hallowed Concepts skins, you’ll need to complete one of three challenges with the Survivor whose skin you want. These involve clearing the Soulbound Threshold early, defeating a secret boss, or finishing a run while carrying at least 10 Hexes.

Here are the requirements for every Survivor:

Artificer	Defeat what lies beyond the door in Soulbound Threshold
REX	Defeat what lies beyond the door in Soulbound Threshold
Captain	Defeat what lies beyond the door in Soulbound Threshold
Acolyte	Defeat what lies beyond the door in Soulbound Threshold
MUL-T	Complete a run while holding at least 10 Hexes

You must complete the corresponding challenge while playing as the Survivor whose skin you want to unlock. Below we’ll explain how to complete all 3 challenges without spoiling any of the bosses.

How To Complete Soulbound Threshold Before the Fourth Teleporter

For the first group of skins, you need to access and complete the Soulbound Threshold before activating the fourth stage’s Teleporter.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Obtain the N’tormat and at least one N’tormat Page. You can get these from Wake events or by completing Trials.
2. For a more reliable method, visit the Bazaar Between Time and jump down the pit until you find the Trial Gong. Interact with it, enter the portal, and complete a Trial to receive the N’tormat and a page.
3. Once you have both, look for the Shrine of Descent on stage two or three.
4. Activate the shrine and complete the Teleporter event. You’ll have to deal with an additional boss afterward.
5. Enter the portal that appears and proceed into the Soulbound Threshold.

1. Climb the ramps, interact with the central console, and defeat the successive waves of bosses.
2. Defeat the final boss and return to your run to unlock the skin.

The Soulbound Threshold is a boss-rush encounter, so make sure you’re properly equipped before entering. You can also unlock Acolyte here, so be sure to check that out.

How To Defeat What Lies Beyond the Door in Soulbound Threshold

The second group requires you to defeat a secret boss hidden behind a large door in the Soulbound Threshold. You don’t need to complete this challenge before the fourth stage, so you can spend additional time improving your build.

However, you’ll need a specific N’tormat Page called Reincarnation to access this encounter.

1. Obtain the N’tormat and collect the Reincarnation page. You can acquire pages by completing Trials or finishing the objectives associated with Shrines of Compulsion.

1. Activate a Shrine of Descent, complete the Teleporter event, and enter the Soulbound Threshold.
2. Defeat the boss rush and its final boss as usual.
3. Afterward, approach the central console and watch for a message in the chat indicating that you can proceed.
4. Use the Reincarnation page to open the giant door behind the exit portal.

1. Enter the newly accessible area and walk across the water to reach the secret boss.
2. Defeat the boss to unlock your Survivor’s new skin.

This encounter is much harder than the standard Soulbound Threshold fight, so it’s worth collecting as many useful items as possible before attempting it.

How To Complete a Run With 10 Hexes in Risk of Rain 2

The final six skins require you to complete a run while holding at least 10 Hexes. You can carry more than 10, but you must have at least that many when you finish.

There are two ways to obtain Hexes:

• Concept Reliquaries: These are interactables resembling small grasping hands that reward you with Hexes. Using a Sale Star can double the amount of Hexes you can get.
• Hallowed Shrines: After completing a Teleporter event, look for a Hallowed Shrine and select the Embrace Death option to receive three Hexes.

The Hallowed Shrine spawns become more consistent once you get the N’tornmat.

Once you’ve collected 10 or more Hexes, you can finish your run by getting any of the endings for Risk of Rain 2. Beat Mithrix and escape, loop and obliterate, or loop and dive into any DLC ending.

Keep in mind that Hexes are detrimental items that make your run more difficult. Their effects can increase the challenge, especially when several are active simultaneously.
