How to Siphon Gas in COD DMZ

Don't let the fuel shortage stop you.

One of the tier 2 missions in the Black Mous faction is called Fuel Shortage, and to complete the Faction mission in DMZ, you must find a way to siphon gas. It sounds simple on paper, but I had never siphoned anything before Season 4, and now I have an easy guide for you to do the same.

DMZ Fuel Shortage – How to Siphon Gas

To siphon gas in the DMZ, place a Gas Can in your backpack and open up the bag when you enter any vehicle. From your bag, you can select the Gas Can item and use it to siphon gas from the vehicle. On a controller, I use the R3/RS button to take the fuel I need and add it to the can.

If you are doing this for the Fuel Shortage Faction Mission, then you need to take that siphoned fuel and add it into another vehicle. The good news is you can do this all in the same place. When I siphoned the fuel on a jet ski on Ashika Island, I simply placed the fuel back in the same vehicle with RS/R3. Although the task asks you to find another vehicle, but the same one worked for me.

Of course, to complete this task, you still need a Gas Can and it has to be on Ashika Island. You can easily find Gas Cans at any gas station on the map. These are always marked by fuel pumps on the DMZ map. The cans themselves can always be found on the shelves of the gas station and placed into your backpack, which only requires one slot.

While you are in Ashika Island, it doesn’t hurt to get some supplies at the Buy Station. Make sure to check out my guide on all the Ashika Island Barter Recipes so you know what to make.
