Playing Madden NFL 25 might feel a bit unrealistic when the computer is just throwing 40-yard passes and catching them every single time. Many moments can lead you to say, “How is that even possible?” Well, most of these are based on the game’s default sliders, which change depending on the difficulty you set. If you play around with the game sliders, you can create your own “realistic sliders” separate from the game’s difficulty settings. Here’s how you can set those realistic sliders up and immerse yourself even more in Madden NFL 25.
The Best Realistic Sliders for Madden NFL 25
To access the sliders, you need to go to the settings and look for the “Player Skill” and “CPU Skill” tabs. You’ll find multiple slider categories where you can tweak the possibility or frequency of the particular action that will happen successfully.
Before tweaking these sliders, you want to set up your difficulty setting to “All-Pro” with a simulation game style in the options. You can change the difficulty to any difficulty you are used to playing. Each difficulty setting has a default game slider, but we are mainly using this to set the “CPU Skill” sliders. Once you are comfortable with the difficulty setting, tweak the following game sliders on the Player Skill tab.
Game Slider | Rating |
QB Accuracy | 42 |
Pass Blocking | 35 |
WR Catching | 48 |

Most of these sliders are trying to lessen the success rates of hard passes or other offense-related activities. The game is built to be arcadey, which is why it isn’t as realistic if you don’t lower these sliders.
Game Slider | Rating |
Offside | 80 |
False Start | 90 |
Holding | 90 |
Facemask | 50 |
Illegal Block in Back | 50 |
Roughing the Passer | 50 |
Defensive Pass Interference | 80 |
Injuries | 20 |
Fatigue | 54 |
Player Sprint Parity Scale | 60 |
Physics-Based Tackling Results | 50 |
Most of these sliders are based on the default sliders, with some slight tweaks. The most noteworthy slider here is Fatigue. Since athletes have continuously improved through generations, we seldom see them tire during a match. You can scale the Fatigue slider down if you want because of how impactful a player’s stamina is in the game versus in an actual NFL game.
A fatigued player in Madden NFL 25 will consistently be weak, while a fatigued player in an actual NFL game can still push through in certain bursts where it matters the most.
