How to Secure Votes in The Sims 4

Politics can be a wild conversation topic. In The Sims 4, you can go down this path and become a national leader or a charity icon. To become a high-ranking political leader, you must learn to secure votes for your party, perform speeches, and persuade others to join your cause. The Sims 4: City Living – How to Secure Votes as a Politician

To secure votes in The Sims 4, select any Sim and navigate to Friendly > Political Career > Secure Votes. By doing this, you’ll either succeed in the attempt and gain the Sim’s vote, or they’ll reject the offer, forcing you to ask someone else.

Below are some ways you can raise your chances of securing a vote:

• Befriend whoever you’re asking! The higher your friendship, the greater your odds of securing the vote.
• Be confident! Having high confident moodlets increases your chances of persuading other Sims.
• Promote your policies! If they’re receptive to your promotion, future political actions will have higher chances of succeeding.

Once you secure a Sim’s vote, their vote will count toward any daily or promotion tasks you have for the politician career route. You’ll have to do this all the way to career level nine, giving you plenty of time to practice now.

Whenever my Sim gains a promotion and needs to secure more votes, I host parties and ask Sims to vote until I achieve the required amount for my new tasks. Doing this lets you quickly max out your charisma and network with multiple people to promote your cause. You can even invite new Sims over if you want to make a friend and find a potential new supporter.
