Where to Find a Voodoo Doll in The Sims 4

There are four ways to find a voodoo doll in The Sims 4:

  • Purchase through a computer for 950 Simoleons (Requires level three Mischief)
  • Use the Hidden Items cheat to buy it through the Build-Buy menu for 950 Simoleons
  • Randomly encountered it while fishing
  • Dig for collectibles from mineral rocks

While buying the voodoo doll through a computer is the easiest and fastest way to get it, you can obtain it for free through fishing. However, doing this is random, and you’re more likely to get fish instead.

Buying a Voodoo Doll

To find a voodoo doll through your computer, click on any in-game PC until you see “Order.” Open this and select “Purchase Voodoo Doll” to find a confirmation menu, allowing you to choose how many dolls you want and their price. After buying it, the voodoo doll will appear in your Sim’s inventory.

Alternatively, you can use cheats to purchase the doll through the Build-Buy menu by following our step-by-step guide below:

  • Open the cheat menu using the following keys/buttons:
    • PC – Ctrl+Shift+C
    • Mac – Cmd+Shift+C
    • PlayStation 4 – R1, R2, L1, and L2
    • Xbox One – RB, RT, LB, and LT
  • Type in testingcheats true to enable cheats
  • Type in bb.showhiddenobjects

Once you do this, enter the Build menu and search “Voodoo” to find the Madame Zoe’s Voodoo Doll for 950 Simoleons.

Fishing and Digging for a Voodoo Doll

If you want to try to get a voodoo doll for free, you can occasionally find one while fishing or breaking collectible rocks. However, it is an uncommon drop from either source, as you’re more likely to find fish, crystals, and metals. I’ve had better luck with fishing, as I’ve encountered several voodoo dolls in various locations.

How to Use Voodoo Dolls in The Sims 4

Once you’ve gotten your hands on a voodoo doll, click it in your inventory and choose “Bind to”. Pick a Sim to bind them to the doll, allowing you to perform various actions that directly affect the Sim.

After binding someone to the doll, you can do the following actions:

  • Summon – Bring the Sim to your current lot
  • Cuddle – +2 Flirty Moodlet
  • Frolic – +2 Playful Moodlet
  • Poke – +2 Angry Moodlet
  • Soak – +2 Dazed Moodlet
  • Tickle – +2 Uncomfortable Moodlet

As you can see, not all of the options have negative consequences. You can use these on friends as well to give them positive moodlets!
