Cat Quest III is a pirate adventure that takes our feline warrior to the sea. When you aren’t slashing away pi-rats on land, you’ll take part in naval combat that’s fast, fun, and pretty addictive. However, getting hit has its penalty, and you’ll be repeating your ship quite a bit in Cat Quest III; here is how.

Cat Quest III Ship Repairing Explained

To repair your ship in Cat Quest III, you need to swim towards it and stay in its proximity till it is repaired.

One annoying thing is that you can’t repair a ship as it’s losing health, but it has to be downed completely. Additionally, if you’re being attacked by a ship, even during the repairing animation, you will still suffer damage, and there really isn’t much you can do to avoid it. If the ship is of a much higher level than you, then you’ll probably end up dying and respawning at the last checkpoint.

Repairing itself doesn’t take long, though, and you will see the clearly visible repair status instead of the ship’s health. However, you still have to wait for the health to be fully depleted before initiating the repair.

Since repairing can become an active part of the ship combat, it’s something you’ll be doing quite a lot of. Certain ship upgrades boost your survivability, though, and you will become stronger by obtaining higher damaging cannons and specials over time. However, it’s still pretty common to be demolished multiple times during boss fights against one of the legendary ships while you’re out collecting bounties.

Cat Quest III’s combat is just one part of the adventure, and when you aren’t taking part in naval combat, you’ll be solving puzzles and finding all sorts of loot, like the Bird Poop trinket.
