Resident Evil 4 Wardrobe Lock

Resident Evil 4 Remake prides itself on the endlessly obscure and intricate puzzles it asks players to solve. Take the initial blue medallion puzzle in the Farm, for example, which asks you to find five different blue medallions in a large farm. What a strange way to kick off environmental puzzles. One puzzle comes when exploring the initial sections of the game, but it is just as obscure, if not more. Here’s how to open the Wardrobe lock and get the code in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

The Wardrobe is first spotted within the Village Chief’s Manor, as you’re exploring one of the upstairs hallway. It features three different picture combos, with several pictures on each. Trying to guess this is futile, as it will take a lot of attempts to get it (though you could if you truly believe in random chance). There’s a far easier way thankfully if you explore the manor for a book found on a desk.

This book tells a particular story about a master receiving gifs, but what we’re concerned about is the way it’s written. Reading the second paragraph, you’ll find the three gifts of the farmer’s “finest crop”, “his stoutest pig” and a “beloved babe”. If you haven’t figured it out, these are the three pictures that need to be used as the wardrobe lock’s code. It must also be in that order. Once you have them all in, the wardrobe should open.

Within the wardrobe will be a crystal ball which you can use to unlock another room within the manor, though we’ll let you figure that puzzle out yourself. If you’re struggling, you can expect us to have a guide on the puzzle soon. While you’re at it, here’s our guide on every weapon you can unlock in RE4 Remake.
