Root Armor is a type of Armor that is on the Swamp level which has its uses. It is on par with Bronze Armor (same Armor value, but other modifiers are different), and slightly worse than Iron Armor. Prima Games has done a short research on the matter and we’ll tell you all the good and bad sides of Root Armor. We will tell you how to make Root Armor in Valheim so that you too look like a tree while wearing the full set, which definitely has some visual appeal.

  • 4 x Deer Hide

Set Bonus: Bows +15 skill bonus (cannot exceed 100). This is good if you are kiting those small poisonous blobs. Root Armor also provides a lesser movement penalty than the other similar-tier armor sets.

Is Root Armor in Valheim Good?

Root Armor in Valheim is very good to have in Swamp and Plains biomes.
In the Swamp biome, it is a brilliant tool to have in your fight against Bonemass, which has poison attacks as the main type of attack.
In the Plains biome, it is a brilliant tool to prevent yourself from being one-shotted by a Mosquito. Technically, with proper awareness and parry/block timing, you can deal with Mosquitos naked. Also, ranged-type enemies will hurt less when they hit you.
The downside of Root Armor is that you’re susceptible to Fire damage (because unironically, you’re wearing a wood armor).
