Once you’ve reached level 50, you gain a whole new way to curate your build with the Paragon boards. And within each Paragon board is the opportunity to socket a Glyph, which you can level up for additional benefits. Here’s how to level up your Glyphs in Diablo 4.
How to Level Up Glyphs in Diablo 4
As you move through your Paragon board, the power of Glyphs really can’t be overstated. They offer a bevy of benefits that range from increased damage to the increased duration or crowd control abilities. But like all things, they’re more powerful when you level them up. And there’s only one way to do that.
You’ll need to complete Nightmare Dungeons.
Each time you complete a Nightmare Dungeon, you get some experience for your Glyph. The higher the tier of Nightmare Dungeon, the more experience you’ll get to level up your Glyph. Once you complete a Nightmare Dungeon, the menu to upgrade your Glyphs will immediately pop up. You can then select which Paragon Glyph you want to level up.
Once you’ve made your decision, you’ll see that there’s an assigned button at the bottom of the menu that says Allocate XP. For Xbox, that button is Y. Press that button to level up your selected Glyph. Even Glyphs that are socketed can be leveled up.

If you feel you don’t have enough Glyphs to choose from, keep running Nightmare Dungeons, as it’s the best place to find them. They’ll drop randomly from enemies that you kill.
The absolute best Nightmare Dungeons to run for Glyph experience farming are:
- Lost Archives
- Ancient’s Lament
- Blind Burrows
- Aldurwood
These maps are ideal because they’re very small, which means you’ll spend less time completing them.
