In this guide, we’ll show you how to increase your bond with a Digimon and how it affects their overall power in DSTS.

How to Improve Your Bond With Your Digimon in Digimon Story Time Stranger

There are only three ways to increase your Digimon’s bond:

  • Participating in battles.
  • Talking to the Digimon or interacting with them through the Digiline.
  • Feeding them in the Digifarm.

You’ll naturally improve their bond as you use them in battle, but if you want to speed through the process, you’ll want to buy food from the shop and feed them food through the Digifarm. Since there’s no limit on how many you can feed, you can buy as much food as you like and use it all at once, assuming you have enough money to buy everything.

Throughout your progression, you can always talk to your Digimon whenever. You should also pay attention to the dialogue that randomly shows up on the right side of your screen (usually below the minimap). These random dialogues are sometimes possible interactions with your Digimon through the Digiline. These little things can help you increase your bond as you finish the main story.

If you want to speed up increasing their bond, bring them into battle and start battling non-stop.

How Does Bond Make Your Digimon Stronger in Digimon Story Time Stranger?

When you look into the details of a Digimon, they have a bond stat below their HP/SP/EXP stats. Your bond range can go from 0-100%, but why does this matter?

A Digimon’s bond directly affects its stats as it goes through Digivolution and De-digivolution. Each Digimon retains a specific number of stats as they Digivolve or De-digivolve.

If you notice their attributes or stats, you will see numbers in parentheses highlighted in light blue. These numbers are the cumulative stats or the +a parameter. These stats are the ones that carry over depending on your bond percentage as you Digivolve or De-digivolve.

When undergoing Digivolutions and De-digivolutions, 1% of the previous Digimon’s stat value increases through leveling or through training in the Digifarm. The higher the Digimon’s bond rating, the more stats are transferred through Digivolutions.

So, if you want to capitalize on getting these massive extra stats, make sure to increase your Digimon’s bond. It is not enough to just keep them inside the box. You’ll have to bring them to battle to improve their bond and their talent. Digimon inside the box are still useful. Most of your Digimon will level up, Digivolve, and get load enhanced to level up your favorite Digimon quicker.
