Start your own Sniffer Farm!

Sniffers are the new type of mob in Minecraft, thanks to the Minecraft Mob Vote 2022. We already know that Sniffer is a big-time favorite among the Minecraft crowd because it has won over 50% of the votes during the said vote. Now, with Patch 1.20 called “Trails and Tales”, you can finally get your hands on a Sniffer, and I will be glad to show you how to Hatch a Sniffer Egg and Breed Sniffers in Minecraft.

How to Hatch Sniffer Eggs in Minecraft

First of all, you need to get yourself a Sniffer Egg. Here’s how you can get a Sniffer Egg in Minecraft. It’s a good to idea to grab two Sniffer Eggs if possible, which I’ll explain shortly.

When you find a place where you wish to hatch, you should just deploy the egg from your inventory on the ground (or on a wall, if you’d like). Two things that are really important to know about hatching the Sniffer Eggs in Minecraft are:

  • On Moss, it should hatch in 10 minutes. This could be the case because Moss is native to Sniffers, and really, they do look mossy!
  • On any other block, it should hatch in 20 minutes.

You will be able to see the progress of the Egg over time, it will keep cracking up more and more until a Baby Sniffer is ready to come out.

Once hatched, you will see a Baby Sniffer, or as it’s officially called – A Snifflet. Snifflets can’t do much, they’ll just roam around for about 20 minutes until becoming adult Sniffers. There is a way to speed up this process by feeding your Snifflet with Torchflower seeds. However, since these seeds are pretty scarce, you ought to actually wait those 20 minutes out.

How to Breed Sniffers in Minecraft

Breeding Sniffers is not a complicated process, but it’s just tedious, due to the scarcity of the reagent necessary for the process., but do not worry, I’ll have you covered for that as well.

You can Breed two Adult Sniffers by feeding them each with one Torchflower seed. After they get close to each other, magic happens, and a new Sniffer Egg appears! You already know what to do with it.

How to Get Torchflower Seeds in Minecraft

Getting the Torchflower Seed can be done by letting a Sniffer snoop around. At random, Sniffer will dig up stuff from the ground, and sometimes, the randomness deity might give you a Torchflower Seed. There’s nothing specific you can do to speed this up, but I recommend you build a wide fence for your Sniffer farm so that they have more room to discover things hidden underneath and to stay safe.

That’s all you need to know about Hatching a Sniffer Egg and Breeding Sniffers.
