Where to Farm Fodder in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Fodder is an incredibly important item that you’ll need a lot of during your time as a farmer. Livestock (especially sheep) will make up the bulk of your income and will need to be fed to stay happy enough to produce milk and wool for you. While you can buy fodder through the ledger, growing fodder yourself is a better option financially.

First, go to Vesta’s farm and speak to either Vesta, Matt, or Cecilia to open up the shop. You will want to purchase fertilizer. This can be confusing to people who are used to purchasing grass seed. I would suggest purchasing at least ten. Once you have as many as you need, return to your farm and make your way to the paddock. With fertilizer in hand, spread it across the paddock grass and it will begin to grow. Make sure that you keep a space between each section that you fertilize as the grass will grow and spread. You’ll definitely be getting your money’s worth.

When you let your livestock out, they will eat the grass in the paddock and so you will not need to feed them. However, it is a good idea to cut some and keep it in the barn dispenser for a rainy day. Just make sure that you do not cut it all down so that it can grow back. The best part of it all is that it doesn’t die in winter.
