Previously, in the original title, you would feed your dog yourself by placing anything edible in the dog bowl for it. Be it food that you have cooked or mushrooms that you’ve found on your farm. The remake differs from the original as you no longer have to feed your dog at all. It is an automatic process that is taken care of by Takakura. So, you can continue your daily farming routine without worrying about whether your puppy is going hungry or not. Takakura has your back!

There you have it. I hope that you are having a wonderful time in Forgotten Valley. Whilst most of the game mechanics are explained or simple to figure out oneself, there are a few that are a little obtuse. Such as feeding the dog and also where one finds a fishing rod in the game.
