How to Get Trevor and Sypha’s Outfits in Dead Cells Return to Castlevania

We get it, you like the show

It’s a little painful to admit it, but there are probably folks coming into the new Dead Cells DLC without really knowing who Richter Belmont is. Well, aside from the whole Smash Bros. thing. But Alucard and his ride or die homies Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades are probably much more familiar thanks to the animated series. Everyone involved here knows that, so of course there are unlockables based on the Castlevania III crew. Here’s how to find the Trevor and Sypha outfits in Dead Cells Return to Castlevania.

How to Get Trevor and Sypha’s Outfits in Dead Cells Return to Castlevania

These are a pain in the ass to get; I’m not gonna lie to you. After all, you have to be able to make it all the way to Dracula himself in order to get where you need to be. That means starting the Castlevania DLC, completing the first part, then making it to Dracula’s castle on a subsequent run, then making it all the way through the castle in its tougher form. It’s a tall order, especially if this DLC is your first foray into Dead Cells. But hey if you made it, congrats! But don’t get too excited! If you actually start the confrontation with Dracula you’ll have missed your chance. But what could there possibly be between the start of Master’s Keep and the boss door, besides a staircase?

The answer is an invisible platform. For real.

If you look very closely at the wall in that candle-lit hallway in Master’s Keep, you’ll see an odd shadow cast by the rightmost candle. It still doesn’t register as a legible hint to me, but regardless jump up there and The Beheaded will latch onto an invisible footing. You’ll see some foliage up here, so hop up to that and enter a secret passageway. From there you’ll enter a room that has a nice framed image of Castlevania III’s opening, alongside a wardrobe containing Blueprints for the Trevor outfit. In the same room there are a few statues over to the right; investigate the one in the middle and you’ll also receive Blueprints for the Sypha outfit.

There’s still no love for Grant Danasty here. What did he do for everyone to shun him so effortlessly? All he did was have cool wall-climbing claws. If that’s a crime you have to lock up Knuckles, too.
