Time to blast some bosses!

The Shroud of the False Death Mythic Unique item in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred got a major buff in patch 2.0.3, and it has been in everyone’s eyes since then. It offers a unique way of playing, and with the buffs, you also get a massive increase in survivability and higher stats to hit Paragon bonuses more easily. However, it is still a Mythic unique item so it’ll be hard to get. Here’s how to target-farm the Shroud of False Death Mythic unique in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred.

How to Target-Farm Shroud of False Death Mythic Unique in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

While Mythic and regular unique items drops are completely random, there are some content where they have an increased chance of dropping. Regular unique items like the Rod of Kepeleke or Ring of the Midnight Sun have an increased chance of dropping for particular Tormented bosses. The same goes for Mythic unique items like Shroud of False Death.

However, the Shroud of Flase Death falls under the Mythic unique category, and every item in the category has a chance of dropping. So, the best way to farm the Shroud of False Death is to farm the best content that drops Mythic unique items and hope you get the correct one. If not, you can salvage the other Mythic unique items for Resplendent Sparks and craft the Mythic Item yourself, assuming you have the runes.

So, what content should you be running? Your main goal is to run as many Tormented Duriel and Andariel runs as possible. However, you need to have the dolls, eggs, shackles, and shards for these bosses. They have the best chance of dropping a Mythic unique item on each successful run.

Now, there are three ways to improve this farming method. First, you want to farm as many boss summoning materials. Second, you’ll save those boss materials and join rota group farming sessions. The goal of these runs is to have everyone contribute at least one summon on a specific boss, and everyone will get loot. This means that for each summon you have, you can have four times the loot, excluding additional boss summoning materials since you only get summoning materials drops for bosses you summoned yourself.

Next, you want to rotate through all the Tormented bosses until you get some Andariel and Duriel boss summoning materials. Make sure you are running all bosses on rotation farming groups to maximize your summoning materials.

Keep doing this until you get some Mythic unique items and hope it drops a Shroud of False Death. If you run out of summons, you can always use a Seething Opal of Torment and farm other content like the Pit or Undercity to get more summoning materials. If you are out of this type of Seething Opal, you can run Realmwalkers to get more.

Shroud of False Death Stats in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

The Shroud of False Death gives the following stats:

  • +160 All Stats
  • +333.0% Damage on Next Attack After Entering Stealth
  • +800 Maximum Life
  • 11.1% Resource Generation

It also has a unique effect:

  • If you haven’t dealt damage in the last 2 seconds, gain Stealth and 40%[+] Movement Speed.

Just from the effects and stats, you can already tell that this item is made for a “boss-killing” type of build variation. The +333% increased damage is such a high amount of damage output, and it also comes from the chest slot, which is mainly for defensive stats.

One underrated stat from the Shroud of False Death is the implicit +1 to all Passives stat, which players often overlook since it is written under the armor stat.
