How to Get the Retrofit Escapade in Destiny 2

A high fire-rate LMG? Count me interested.

Finding and modifying Destiny 2 weapons makes up a major part of the endgame. Beyond getting your light level up to the maximum value through completing Pinnacle activities, your weapon choice can be the difference in high-end content and PvP. One such weapon is a little confusing to get but has some interesting PvE benefits depending on its use case. Here’s how to get the Retrofit Escapade in Destiny 2.

Where Can You Get the Retrofit Escapade in Destiny 2?

As with most newer weapons in the game, the Retrofit Escapade can be acquired in a few different ways. The easiest way is by completing any of the Season of the Seraph activities currently available, including the Heist Battleground mode. The second method is simply focusing at the H.E.L.M. like some other weapons. The final way, though a way that’ll require you to get the weapon a few times, is to craft it. This will require a Deepsight variant of the weapon, and will take some grinding, but can help you secure that coveted god roll.

Speaking of which, you may also want to know what the best perks for the weapon are. Here are some of the best we found in our research:

  • Basic Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Basic Magazine: Tactical Mag
  • Basic Trait: Feeding Frenzy
  • Basic Trait: Frenzy
  • Basic Origin Trait: Ambush

Given that the Retrofit Escapade is a high fire-rate, low damage LMG, you’ll be mainly using this weapon for ad clear. With that, these chosen perks help further to strengthen its ad-clearing potential with rewards for continuous fire and kills. Other perks could help you strengthen its weaknesses if that’s something you feel would be helpful. Whatever you choose, it should hopefully do its job well.
