How to Get the Plasma Cutter Secret Weapon in Remnant 2

If you’re on the hunt for every secret you can find in Remnant 2, then getting the various weapons is a major part of that grind. Different weapons can feel vastly different, especially with the often unique mods they house. One such gun only comes under very rare circumstances but can be well worth rerolling the location for it. Here’s how to get the Plasma Cutter secret weapon in Remnant 2.

Where to Find the Plasma Cutter in Remnant 2

Before you can even think of getting the Plasma Cutter, you’ll need to acquire a rare spawn somewhere in N’Erud. By some stroke of luck, a random Zombie will be wearing the Navigator’s Helm, and look slightly different than his undead buddies. Kill him, and you’ll be instantly rewarded with the Navigator’s Helm.

With the helmet in hand, you’ll next want to find a giant ship that’s crash-landed somewhere in the region. Typically it’ll have spawned in the second major area of N’Erud, so get through either the Hatchery or Putrid Domain if you haven’t already. Once you’ve found the ship, find a way in through a broken hole on the side until you find a door scanner. Usually, the door will deny you, but with the Navigator’s Helmet on, you can enter the door. Inside will be the Plasma Cutter weapon, ready for the taking.

What Does the Plasma Cutter Do?

The Plasma Cutter is a powerful weapon on its own but comes with the Heat Sink mod on top of that. This mod vents all of the heat you’ve accrued using the Plasma Cutter. While the mod is active, you will generate half the normal heat while shooting and increase the ramping damage to 3x of its normal damage. When the mod is deactivated, the weapon will automatically be overheated. This all makes it insanely powerful, but only for those who are willing to understand its heat mechanic.
