As you progress through everything Warframe offers, your end goal will always be to “master” every weapon, Warframe, companion, etc. in the pursuit of the maximum Mastery level. This can sometimes lead to new tools that highlight your arsenal, and other times can lead to the immediate scrap of them for credits. One such item comes from your expeditions into a late-game area and can be fun to play around with. Here’s how to get the Hespar scythe in Warframe.
Where to Get the Hespar in Warframe
The Hespar blueprint and its parts can be earned from completing high-tier bounties aboard the Zariman. The main blueprint is the easiest, having a 12.99% chance to drop from completing Level 90-95 bounties on the Zariman. The parts are where things can get a little more complicated, and where you may want to bring a few friends along.
The Hespar’s Handle blueprint can be earned from the rotation C reward pool of the Void Cascade mission. This is the mission where Exolizers will spawn around the map, asking you to break their void gateways alongside killing the Thrax housed inside their center. You’ll then need to defend that Exolizer from any threats that attack it. A reward is given for every four purged Exolizers, with a rotation of AABC. This means that to get the rotation C reward to drop, you’ll need to purge 16 Exolizers in a single run. If you pull it off, you’ll have a 10% chance to get the Handle blueprint.
As far as the Blade blueprint goes, it’s also part of the rotation C reward pool, only for Void Armageddon. This mission asks you to defend two Exodampers on different parts of the map at different times, before being forced to kill a Void Angel. If both the Exodampers are destroyed, you’ll be forced to fight buffed enemies as they attack the main objective, the Eternal Relic. If that goes down, you lose. This mode’s rewards function on the same rotation, only rotations progress after every successful Void Angel kill. In total, you’ll need to kill four Void Angels to see that rotation C reward drop, with a 10% chance for the Blade blueprint to drop.
What Resources Are Needed for the Hespar?
You will need to build the Blade and Handle separately before you can build the full Hespar. The resource requirements for all three are below:
- Hespar Blade Blueprint
- 60 Thrax Plasm
- 10 Voidplume Quills
- 5,500 Ferrite
- 15 Voidgel Orb
- Hespar Handle Blueprint
- 40 Thrax Plasm
- 10 Voidplume Quills
- 4,200 Alloy Plate
- 5 Entrati Lanthorn
- Hespar Blueprint
- 50 Thrax Plasm
- 1 Hespar Blade
- 1 Hespar Handle
The Thrax Plasm can be earned from killing Thrax Centurions and Thrax Legionnaires, mainly by draining their health and then shooting them with your Operator. The Voidplume Quills can be found scattered across the Zariman ship, or through bounty rewards. The planet materials are easy enough to find, provided you’re running the correct planet. Otherwise, Voidgel Orbs and Entrati Lanthorns can either be found in crates or as bounty rewards. Once you have everything, the Blade and Handle will take 12 hours each to build, with the full weapon taking 24 hours. Once that’s done, you’ll have the Hespar ready to use.
Is The Hespar Worth Getting in Warframe?
As far as melee weapons go, the Hespar is considered pretty solid by the community, though not the best of the best. If modded out for Slash, Status Chance, and Crit Damage/Chance, it can get the job done by all means. Just don’t expect to be wielding the next Nikana Prime or Reaper Prime.
