How to Get the Dark Katana in Minecraft Dungeons

As you’ve hacked and slashed your way through Minecraft Dungeons, you’ve likely stumbled across all types of weapons, including regular katanas. But why have a regular katana when you can have a Dark Katana?

This sword is a unique variant of the Katana, and it offers extra damage to undead. But more than that, it possesses high power, low speed, and moderate range, with a combo that consists of two side slashes and an upward slash.

When it was first added, it was obtainable only at the Panda Plateau and the Lower Temple. But since then, it’s become much more accessible on top of receiving several buffs to its attack speed. That makes sense, since it’s a katana, not a great sword.

Now, if you want to grab the Dark Katana, you have several other options. Here are all of possible places you can grab it:

  • Lower Temple (Apocalypse)
  • Obsidian Pinnacle (Apocalypse)
  • Panda Plateau (Apocalypse, DLC)
  • Basalt Deltas (DLC) (Only during Daily Trials)
  • Coral Rise (Adventure, DLC)
  • The Stronghold (Adventure, DLC)
  • Tower

The Dark Katana is also accessible through several merchants. They are:

  • Gift Wrapper
  • Mystery Merchant
  • Luxury Merchant
  • Piglin Merchant

Honestly, any place you can find Katanas is a place you can find a Dark Katana, as the Dark Katana is just a rare drop variant. Good luck farming it!

If you want to make getting that drop a little easier, then having your friends play with you will make the time really fly. Here’s how you can invite your buddies to your game: Minecraft Dungeons: How to Invite Friends.
